Getting Around
Costa Rica is a small country- only 19,653 square miles (smaller than West Virginia). Nonetheless, you will still need to get around whilst you are here. There are several options for this at different costs.
Regional Flights
For longer trips within Costa Rica, there are 2 regional airlines available to you. Nature Air, a carbon neutral airline, has flights between 17 destinations within Costa Rica and Sansa, has flights within 15 destinations. The closest airport to Del Pacifico that is serviced by these airlines in Quepos (about 30 minutes to the south of us).
Private Driver
If you’d like to avoid the hassle of driving (and navigating) in a foreign country, we can arrange a private driver for your party. The daily fee includes fuel & tolls.
Taxi Service
Taxis are not readily available in Esterillos as we are not near the center of a commercial area. We can arrange for a taxi for you with ample notice. Please note that the only licensed taxis in Costa Rica are red/maroon with a yellow triangle on their door.
Car Rental
Car rentals are available through several agencies. We can either arrange for your car prior to your trip (recommended) or arrange one once you have arrived to be delivered to Del Pacifico. Please note that the car rental company will take a deposit from you at the time of rental generally between $750 and $1000 so please plan accordingly. This deposit can only be taken in the form of a credit card – debit cards are not accepted.
