Day 2 Wrap Up
We're back...The word for the day yesterday was "bigger"- bigger crowd, bigger waves, bigger competition. Both the womens' the mens' team competition is tough, and at this point they say it's anyone's game. South Africa & Australia were originally considered the teams to beat but both are having a little trouble taming the Costa Rican surf. Open surf is also anyone's bet right now however, the local surfers are really putting on a good show for everyone.
Crowds were crazy here yesterday- even more people than Saturday, most of whom were Costa Rican. The entire Costanera Highway was gridlock going south into Hermosa. One of the many benefits to being at Del Pacifico is our location in Esterillos - close enough to see the action but far enough away that we avoid the overwhelming crowds.
