Day 4 Wrap Up
Tuesday was a really exciting day for Esterillos. Sixteen year old Carlos Munoz of Esterillos dominated the mens competition, even after losing points on his first wave for interference with another surfer. Steph & Jason were lucky enough to witness it and the picture below doesn't remotely do it justice. He really showed the competition how to work the Costa Rican surf!
Stacey got a chance to see some of the womens' competition in the morning. Lisbeth Vindas, also of Esterillos, lost her repercharge heat and was eliminated while in a heat against surfers from South Africa, France & Japan.
It was a hot overcast day with the rain starting late in the afternoon & the final heats ending just in time for a beautiful Costa Rican thunderstorm. We headed back to the beauty and comfort of Del Pacifico and watched the sunset through the storm from our terrace. Sound like the perfect end of the day for you?
