Semi Finals-Day 7 Wrap Up
It was a picture perfect day in Playa Hermosa. The clouds cleared and the crowd thickened for the semi-finals.
The USA team still remains in 1st place hoping to seize the gold. France is 2nd, followed by Hawaii, South Africa and Peru. Australia and Costa Rica are no longer in the top 5.
As far as individual standings, team USA's Cory Lopez and Ben Bourgeois advanced to the final as well as Sage Ericson and Courtney Conlogue, who had a whopping score of 18 points, blowing away all of the women her heat!. Team USA longboarder Toni Silvagni also advanced to the finals.
We are in the final stretch and the USA has a chance to sweep the World Surf Games!
